The Spectacle of Defiance & Hope was a Collective of Community & Youth Projects who came together to fight back through creative, artistic protest. This collective used colour, art, and creativity to show their concerns, fear and anger about austerity measures being implemented by the Government as a result of the global banking collapse. The first to be hit were long standing Community and Youth Projects, dismantling years of grassroots development work, who picked up the pieces of failing state structures.
